Terra Grazia Estate
The Estate is located in the village of Kato Sangri, in one of the most fertile areas of Naxos, at a distance of 11 kilometres from Chora.
Here, on a plateau at an altitude of approximately 350 meters, ideal microclimate conditions prevail for the development of the Estate’s vineyard.
We have our roots in mountainous Naxos.
The values of our family, centred around love for nature and fellow humans, have shaped our philosophy of life and work.
We work passionately to honour our island and continue the traditions of our land, contributing to the promotion of its natural wealth and the production of high-quality products.
At the heart of the Estate stands the magnificent Della Rocca-Grazia Tower, a 16th century Venetian fortress and one of the Sagri region’s most significant landmarks.
The tower boasts battlements, a characteristic dovecote at its peak and surrounding precincts, including a Venetian- style alley leading to a well and bakehouse, as well as the church of Agios Nikolaos of Tolentino.
At our Estate, our main concern is to revive and preserve the old vineyard. We cultivate the local varieties of the island in continuous interaction and dialogue with nature, following the principles of biodynamic agriculture.
Since 2004, we have been dedicated to the restoration of the Tower and its annexes, with the primary goal of reviving the old vineyard. Our objective is to interact with nature by following the principles of biodynamic agriculture, which we apply to the vineyard, and to contribute high-quality labels to the culinary map of the island.
The vineyard design and establishment was supervised by Professor Stefanos Koundouras of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
The winemaking is entrusted to the oenological team of Kyriakos Kynigopoulos, while the cultivation of the vineyard is entrusted to experienced local vine growers who are renowned for their unique connection with the land.
Since 2018, we have initiated the process of identifying, verifying, and rescuing local grape varieties, having already distinguished five unique varieties in Naxos, which we will revive.
